A man sat in the dark....he felt lonely and afraid sitting in the cold all alone…..in this dark desolate place…..”Where can I find a light to show me the way?"

There was a movement in the darkness not far way from him.....then a light appeared, it started to glow, as the light got brighter the man started to see a face appear......the face was looking directly at him, and was smiling......

As they stood looking at each other, the man sensed a voice talking to him, 

"Don't be afraid, your safe with me" the voice said……

The voice then continued "I'm here to guide you every step of the way……and if it make you feel safer, I'll give to you this light to carry, so that it makes it easier for you to see where your are going.”……a hand then appeared out of the darkness and passed the light to the man.

When the man took the light, he noticed that the hand, that passed him the light was refined and delicate…..it didn't seem strong enough to carry the lamp he’d been given.

As the man took the light he raised his head, to say thank you……and found himself staring open mouthed at what he saw.....there in front of him stood a serene being, calmly standing with an unwavering smile on it’s face, whilst a warm glow of the light shone creating a translucent warmth that sparkled a comforting peace in the eyes of the being who was intently watching him........

The man noticed that there was an unerring, refined resonating glow of luminosity that surrounded this being, it transfixed the man in a state of awe………he also sensed a profound peace settle around him.....that seemed to emanate from this serene being....

The man sensed the voice speaking to him again.....it was gentle, and clear with a melodic inflection……the words just started to appear in the mans mind, as though he was watching them appear on a screen in a cinema......."You see, I don't need a lantern to help me find my way.....as I am guided by the light the shines from deep within me."

The man just stared at the being………as he did so a light started to glow in the centre of in the beings chest, where the man presumed it’s heart was.....as the light grew It became a pure golden glow.....

The man sensed the voice speaking again, "Shall we walk, as there is still some way to go?"

"But how do I know that I am safe travelling with you,” the man questioned.

The serene being who was now surrounded in an even brighter golden glow, just smiled with a warmth of pure empathy, that made the man feel embarrassed, for asking such a question of one who's presence was so peaceful and calm.

Nodding sagely, the being raised the palm of his hand and placed it on the mans chest in line with his heart.......the man felt a warmth spread across his chest, he felt the surge of unconditional love embrace him, it soothed his worries and fears…….this all encompassing wave of the energy that completely surrounded him, rekindled all the old emotions that he thought he had hidden deeply away inside himself……..he’d, locked them away, so that he would be protected from the pain that these memories carried with them......he believed he had control over them, as they had laid hidden for so many years.......

As the man stood there in the arms of this all encompassing feeling of unconditional love….that seemed to be washing away the pain…..and calming his mind, he noticed something running down his face.........he realised, it was tears…….but not the red hot tears of pain, and sadness that he had experienced before, these where tear of joy, and freedom…..they where liberating him, from what seemed to have been weighing him down for so many years......the energy surge started to expand within him, and the man found himself happier than he had been in a long time.....

The beings voice spoke to his mind again, "We can stand here if you wish?…..but there is one thing that I will tell you right now........I am your spirit guide"

"I have walked with you in all this darkness for many years now.......In fact I have walked with you all your life, and it is only now that you have asked for my help?" 

The guide continued,”Why is it now, that you seek my council?"

The man stood silently, and considered the question that the guide had asked him, the longer he thought about it the more he realised that he wasn’t quiet sure what his response should be…….as he looked up the guide was watching him intently, with a warm serene smile, surrounded in the warmth of the light source that came from within him……

A familiar warm melodic voice started appearing in the mans thoughts again, as the guide started to speak, “Let us walk for a while……and whilst we walk it will give you time to consider, if you are going to choose to answer my question.”

It struck the man as strange that the guide had given him a choice…….

They started out into the darkness, the man holding the lamp the guide had given him…….it was casting a beam of light not too far in front of him, but just enough so the man would be able to see any obstacle, or holes that may loom out of the darkness on the path he was walking……so that hopefully, he may have sufficient time to avoid what was in his way path………the guide walked with a freedom of calm confidence, as the golden glow that shone from his heart centre illuminated the pathway a long distance ahead of him……….

As they walked, the man considered deeply the question the that guide had asked him…….“Why is it now that you seek my council?”…………as he contemplated his reply he heard another voice he didn’t recognise speaking……….then, he realised that it was his voice speaking, and that they had stopped walking, and he was observing the guide, and what seem to be his double talking……..as he listened he became confused, and unsure about what was happening…………

“Firstly, thank you for walking with me for all this time……and for still walking with me through this perpetual darkness that i find myself in…….but i didn’t know, or realise that you were there”, the man replied as he truly didn’t know what else to say.

“Well,” the symphony of soothing vibration from the guides voice resonated in the mans mind “Its interesting to see that you are starting to show some humility”…………the guide continued speaking with a voice that reminded the man of a rhythmic lullaby, that seemed to help the man understand much clearer what was being said to him “You really haven’t ever shown any thought for anyone, or anything else, but yourself and what you’ve wanted throughout your life so far, have you……?”

The man was shocked at the frankness of what the guide had said…….but still felt the strength of the unconditional love embracing him, that radiated from the guide, that he had experienced, what seemed only moments ago when the guide had placed a hand on the mans heart.

Whilst he was standing quietly lost in thought…….the man noticed he could see more faint glows of light in the darkness some distance away…….”What are those,” he pointed in the direction of the glows of light that seemed to hovering in the nothingness……..the guide didn’t turn to look in the direction that the man was pointing, but remained focused on the man……..

Words again formed into the mans thoughts, like the warm flow of tension being released, as you inhale the relaxing aromatic perfumes of a beautiful garden in the early summer evening as the sun slips lower towards the horizon of the western sky…….”Oh, they are other spirit guides…..just like me, standing, and walking in the darkness, attempting to help the one that they have agreed to guide throughout their earth life, to actually realise that they have a light that resides within them, that will help them see in the dark.”

The man became alarmed at what he had just been told, “You mean there are more people out there, feeling and experiencing this pain, and loneliness in the dark just like me?”

“Very much so,” the guide replied, “In fact there are many hundreds of people, who are lost in the darkness around the world of matter, and are struggling to find the light that resides within them.”

“What happens if they don’t see the light” the man asked….

“Then they remain in darkness………..as they are using their own free will, to choose not to see what is right there in front of them………they’ll spend the time that they have on the earth plain, struggling to find their way in the darkness without the aid of a light”, the guide replied…..

“They are left to stand in the dark on their own?” the man asked horrified……

“No…..you didn’t listen to what i said” the guide responded…..“I said, that they have used their own free will, to choose not to see what was in front of them…..they have chosen not to see the light, but remain fettered with a restrictions of their vision…….” 

“But, how is this so,” the man spluttered, as he felt the fearful grip of the hand darkness start to hold onto his arm tightly, and begin to usher him away from the light……

Through out whole of this conversation, the man had been watching the guide and his double speaking……as he watched, the darkness stealthy crept closer to his double……he felt the fear that was starting to engulf his double………then he felt the guides mellow voice within his thoughts, “I thought that this might help you see yourself as you currently are.”…………

“What did you do?, whats happening?”, the man asked his fear becoming stronger as the darkness moved closer and closer……..

“You are experiencing what might be termed an out of body experience”, the guide replied…….”You are currently watching whats taking place in the third person, so that you can objectively see, where you currently are on your life’s journey”………

“But i don’t like what i see”, the man retorted…….”How can i change it, what can i do to help me see the light?”

The guide smiled again……..and the now familiar voice filled the mans mind with words, “You have already started that process, by asking for a lamp to find your way……remember?………”

The man just didn’t know what to say………the guide continued, ”Let us walk further, so that we can find the pathway……as there is someone that you need to meet, who will be able to show you the way to find the light within you.”

“Who is this person that we are going to meet?”, the man asked…

The guided turned to the man……and smiled, “A light warrior”, was the guides reply…….
